Since everyone learns in different ways, I thought I would write out the pattern for the cable. Some people prefer YouTube tutorials while others like to read a pattern. Whatever floats your boat. 🙂
Easy Crochet Cables: Free Pattern
Row 1: Skip 1st 3 ch (counts as first st here and throughout), work dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (11)
Row 2: Ch 3, dc, skip next st, work fpdc around following st, work fpdc around skipped st, work 3 dc in next 3 st, skip next st, work fpdc around following st, work fpdc around skipped st, work 2 dc (11)
Row 3: Ch 3, dc, bpdc around next 2 st, 3 dc, bpdc around next 2 st, 2 dc (11)
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 as many times as desired to lengthen work.
For Shark Handle Cover: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 three more times, for a total of nine rows; fasten off; whipstitch onto handle.
This pattern is fun way to add texture to your projects and to wet your feet in the world of cables!
